How to Prepare for OICL Assistant Exam 2026
Start with the syllabus as well as assessment pattern: Map out which sections carry the most marks (Reasoning, English, as well as Numerical Ability each carry 50 marks in Mains) in addition to build your study plan around that weightage.
Build a sectional timetable: Since every section has its own time limit (20 minutes in Prelims, 15-30 minutes in Mains), practice each subject separately under timed conditions rather than only full-length mocks.
Solve previous year question papers as well as mock tests: This is the fastest way to understand OICL's actual question difficulty along with recurring topic patterns, since OICL does not publish a topic-wise weightage list.
Treat General Awareness as a daily habit: Since it covers the last 4-6 months of current affairs plus insurance as well as banking awareness, read news daily instead of cramming closer to the exam.
Revise formulas as well as shortcuts regularly: Keep short notes for Numerical Ability formulas in addition to Reasoning tricks, in addition to revise them after every mock test.
According to the latest notice, Don't ignore the Regional Language Test: It is qualifying although mandatory - brush up on reading, writing, along with speaking the language of the state/UT you are applying to well before the Mains result.
