APSSB CHSLE Selection Process 2026

The hiring procedure consists of two stages - a written examination (Stage I) in addition to a Skill Test (Stage II). Not all posts require both stages:

Stage I - Written Examination (Objective Type MCQ)

All questions are objective type multiple choice .

No negative marking.

Aspirants are advised that, Aspirants must score a minimum of 33% in aggregate to qualify. Those scoring below 33% are ineligible for selection.

Candidates should note that, There are no sectional cut-offs .

Stage II (Skill Test) is qualifying in nature only - marks will not be added to the final merit list.

Syllabus - Brief Overview

General Awareness (50 marks): Current events, History, Polity, Constitution, Sports, Art & Culture, Geography, Economics, Everyday Science, Scientific Research, National/International Organisations. State-specific questions may as well be asked.

General Intelligence & Reasoning (50 marks): Analogies, similarities, differences, space visualization, problem solving, verbal in addition to figure classification, arithmetical reasoning, number series, abstract ideas, analytical functions.

It is informed that, Arithmetical & Numerical Ability (50 marks): Number Systems, Simplification, Decimals, Data Interpretation, Fractions, LCM, HCF, Ratio & Proportion, Percentage, Average, Profit & Loss, Simple & Compound Interest, Mensuration, Time & Work, Time & Distance, Tables & Graphs.

Stage II - Skill Test

Applicable to Post Codes 17/26 (DEO), 20/26 (JSA), along with 22/26 (LDC). The Skill Test is qualifying only - it does not carry marks for merit ranking. Tentative date: 10 October 2026 (Saturday) onwards .

How to Apply for APSSB CHSLE 2026

The official notification states that, Step 1: Browse the departmental APSSB website at www.apssb.nic.in as well as navigate to the CHSLE 2026 online application link (active from 20 July 2026).

APSSB CHSLE Salary 2026 - Pay Scale

In addition to basic pay, aspirants will be entitled to DA, HRA, along with other allowances as applicable under Government of Arunachal Pradesh rules.

Candidature is purely provisional at all stages. The Board can cancel it at any stage if requirements conditions are not met.
