Candidates must fulfill all eligibility conditions as on the last date of application (29-06-2026). Only Indian Citizens are eligible to apply. Candidates must have appeared in PET-2025 and hold a valid Score Card issued by UPSSSC. Candidates who scored zero or negative marks in PET-2025 (absolute or normalised) will not be shortlisted for the Main Examination. | Criteria Details Mandatory Prerequisite Must have appeared in Preliminary Eligibility Test-2025 (PET-2025) conducted by UPSSSC and hold a valid Score Card. Login for application is through PET-2025 Registration Number via OTP on registered mobile/email. Educational Qualification Intermediate (Class 12th / High School equivalent) pass from Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad, Uttar Pradesh or equivalent examination recognised by the Government — as per UP Secretariat Security and Fire Services Rules, 2000 (as amended up to 5th Amendment 2023), Part-4, Rule-8. Desirable (Additional) Qualification For same merit: preference to candidates who served minimum 2 years in the Territorial Army, OR who hold the NCC 'B' Certificate. Nationality Indian Citizens only. Domicile Candidates not domiciled in Uttar Pradesh are NOT eligible for reservation benefits; they will be treated as Unreserved (UR) category. Marital Status Male candidates who are married and have more than one living wife, or female candidates who have married a man with a living wife, are NOT eligible (unless exempted by the Governor).
