Valid GATE Score: Candidates must have a valid GATE 2024, 2025 or 2026 score in the relevant paper - CS for Computer Science & IT, EC for Electronics & Communication, and DA for Data Science & AI. | Educational Qualification: Computer Science & IT - specified Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology, DOEACC B‑level, AMIE/AMIETE or relevant MSc/MCA/ME/M.Tech/M.Phil in listed fields such as Electronics, Computer Science, IT, Informatics, Cyber Law etc., with essential qualification obtained by 31.03.2026 and valid GATE CS score. Electronics & Communication - required BE/B.Tech/ME/M.Tech or equivalent in Electronics & Communication Engineering with valid GATE EC score. Data Science & AI - required engineering or postgraduate degree in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence with valid GATE DA score. | Experience: No prior work experience is required for NIC Scientist B posts. | Age Limit: Upper age 30 years for UR/EWS, 33 years for OBC (NCL), 35 years for SC/ST and up to 40 years for PwBD (45 years for SC/ST PwBD, 43 years for OBC PwBD) as on 31.03.2026; additional relaxation for eligible service candidates and Ex‑servicemen as per Government rules.
