MECL Executive Trainee Qualification Post Essential Educational Qualification Executive Trainee (Electrical) Minimum 60% marks in B.Tech/B.E. in Electrical Engineering / Electrical & Electronics Engineering or equivalent (courses approved by UGC & AICTE wherever applicable; ODL degrees not permissible) Executive Trainee (Mechanical) – all divisions Minimum 60% marks in B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (courses approved by UGC & AICTE wherever applicable; ODL degrees not permissible) No minimum post-qualification experience is required for any of the four posts (NIL). MECL Executive Trainee Age Limit Category Maximum Age (as on 01 August 2026) Unreserved (UR) 28 years SC/ST 28 years + 5 years relaxation OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) 28 years + 3 years relaxation PwD – General 28 years + 10 years relaxation PwD – SC/ST 28 years + 15 years relaxation PwD – OBC-NCL 28 years + 13 years relaxation Ex-Servicemen As per Government of India guidelines Internal candidates Relaxation up to 1 year, subject to CMD approval All age relaxations are as per applicable Government of India guidelines.
