Candidates must fulfill all eligibility conditions as on the closing date of online application (03-06-2026). In addition to the prescribed qualifications, candidates must meet the physical standards specified below and submit a Medical Certificate in the prescribed format from a Medical Officer not below the rank of Assistant Surgeon. | The educational qualification and its equivalent as recognized by executive orders or standing orders of the Government shall also be accepted. Candidates must produce the copy of relevant Government orders on equivalency as and when required by the Commission. | Educational Qualification | Qualification Details Academic Qualification A pass in SSLC or its equivalent. Technical Qualification Government approved 2-year National/State Trade Certificate in Electrician/Wireman trade. Physical Standards - Height Minimum Height: (i) For Male candidates: 5' 2'' (157.48 cm); (ii) For Female candidates: 4' 9'' (144.78 cm) Physical Standards - Vision Normal (free from colour blindness) Physical Fitness Must be physically fit for outdoor works. Fitness shall be evaluated by testing pole climbing skill - candidates must be able to ascend and descend a 9m electric pole within 8 minutes. Proficiency will be assessed in a Practical Test conducted by KPSC at the time of selection. Medical Certificate Medical Certificate in prescribed format (to prove physical fitness and vision) from a Government Medical Officer not below the rank of Assistant Surgeon is mandatory.
