Post Essential Qualification (General Pattern) Project Assistant-I (PA-I) SSC/10th plus ITI in Fitter trade Project Assistant-II (PA-II) Diploma in Engineering/Technology Project Associate-I (PAT-I) Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology (or, for some specializations, Master's/Integrated Master's) from a recognized University, or an equivalent qualification recognized by the competent authority as per project requirement, recorded in writing by the PI and Director Project Associate-I (PAT-I, NET/GATE) Same as PAT-I above, with a valid NET/GATE qualification Project Associate-II (PAT-II) Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology (or equivalent) with 2 years' relevant R&D experience, OR Master's/Integrated Master's in Engineering or Technology Project Associate-II (PAT-II, NET/GATE) Same as PAT-II above, with a valid NET/GATE qualification (some specializations also accept Master's in Science) Senior PAT Bachelor's degree in the relevant Engineering/Technology discipline with 3 years' relevant R&D experience, OR Master's/Integrated Master's in the relevant discipline with 2 years' relevant R&D experience Principal PAT BE/B.Tech with 3 years' experience, OR ME/M.Tech with a valid NET/GATE, OR Ph.D., in the relevant discipline Only candidates who have already completed their qualifying degree/diploma are eligible - candidates awaiting results of a qualifying examination cannot attend the interview. Where a candidate claims an equivalent qualification, they must produce the order/letter (with number and date) recognizing the equivalence, failing which the application is liable to be rejected.
