CSIR-NAL MTS Qualification The essential qualification for the MTS post is SSC/10th Standard from a recognised Board or Institution. The prescribed qualifications are the minimum requirement; mere possession of the qualification does not entitle a candidate to be called for the written examination. CSIR-NAL MTS Age Limit Applicants must have attained 18 years of age and must not have exceeded the upper age limit of 25 years (for UR candidates) as on the last date prescribed for receipt of hard-copy applications. Category Age Relaxation Permissible Beyond Upper Age Limit SC/ST 5 Years OBC (NCL) 3 Years PwBD (Unreserved) 10 Years PwBD (SC/ST) 15 Years PwBD (OBC-NCL) 13 Years Ex-Servicemen (ESM) 3 years after deduction of actual military service rendered from actual age as on closing date Widows/Divorced Women/Judicially Separated Women (not remarried) Up to 35 years of age Widows/Divorced Women/Judicially Separated Women, SC/ST (not remarried) Up to 40 years of age SC/ST/OBC(NCL) candidates who apply against Unreserved (UR) posts will not get age relaxation and will be treated at par with general candidates, though application fee exemption still applies to SC and ST candidates in such cases.
