Qualification
Candidates must meet both educational and physical eligibility criteria to apply for the Bihar Home Guard Company Commander Vacancy 2026. All criteria are calculated with reference to the cut-off date of 01 August 2025 . Nationality The candidate must be an Indian national. Male, female, and third-gender (Kinnar/Kothi/Hijra/Transgender) candidates are all eligible to apply. Educational Qualification Candidates must have passed a Bachelor's Degree (Graduation) from a recognized university or an examination equivalent thereto as recognised by the State Government, on or before 01 August 2025 . Age Limit (as on 01 August 2025) Age is determined on the basis of the date of birth recorded in the Matriculation (10th) or equivalent certificate. Candidates wondering about age relaxation can note that SC/ST and Third-Gender candidates receive the maximum relaxation of up to 42 years. Third-Gender / Transgender Candidates Physical standards and PET criteria for Kinnar/Kothi/Hijra/Transgender candidates shall be the same as applicable to Backward Class (BC) candidates.
