BHEL Apprentice Qualification Category Qualification Marks Required Graduate Apprentice 10+2 and full-time graduation in the relevant discipline (Engineering/Technology, B.Com for Accountant, B.A for Assistant-HR) from a Government recognized institution 60% (UR/OBC-NCL/EWS), 50% (SC/ST) Technician Apprentice High School pass and full-time Diploma in Engineering from a Government recognized institute, completed in the last 5 years 60% (UR/OBC-NCL/EWS), 50% (SC/ST) Trade Apprentice High School pass and full-time ITI pass from an NCVT/SCVT recognized institute (NCVT only for Welder trade) Not specified in the notification Only candidates who completed their qualifying course (Degree/Diploma/ITI) in 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, or 2026 are eligible; qualifications via Distance Learning, Part-Time, Correspondence, or Sandwich courses are not considered. Candidates already undergoing or having completed apprenticeship elsewhere under the applicable Apprentices Act, or with one year or more of work experience, are not eligible.
