Doctoral degree in the relevant subject, including relevant basic sciences. | 08 years' experience in the relevant subject as Assistant Professor-cum-Junior Scientist/Scientist/Lecturer/Extension Specialist or an equivalent position in Pay Band-3 of Rs. 15,600–39,100 with GP/AGP/RGP of Rs. 5,400/Rs. 6,000/Rs. 7,000/Rs. 8,000, with evidence of contribution to research/teaching/extension education through published work or innovations and impact, OR | Doctoral degree in the relevant subject including relevant basic sciences, with a minimum of 8 years of high-quality post-doctoral research experience in an institution/organization, evidenced by at least 6 publications in journals with a NAAS rating of 7.5 or above. | Good academic record with at least 55% marks, or an equivalent grade of B in the 7-point scale (letter grades O, A, B, C, D, E, F), at the Master's degree level in the relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from a foreign university. | NET is compulsory for candidates with a Master's degree, along with one publication in a NAAS-rated refereed journal, for disciplines in which NET is conducted. | NET can be waived for candidates holding a Ph.D. completed with course work as prescribed by UGC Regulation 2009, provided they have at least two full-length publications with a NAAS rating of not less than 4 as on the last date of application submission. Ph.D. holders without course work do not qualify for NET exemption. | Ph.D., if available, shall be preferred.
