As per Rule 9 of the UP Animal Husbandry Department Veterinary Pharmacist Service Rules, 2025, preference in direct recruitment will be given (all else being equal) to test-takers who have:

Age Relaxation

UPSSSC Veterinary Pharmacist Selection Process & Exam Pattern

Selection is based solely on a written (Main) examination . Shortlisting for the Main Exam is done using the candidate's normalized PET-2025 score - category-wise, up to 15 times the number of advertised positions (including all aspirants whose score matches the final cut-off).

Exam Pattern

Total 100 objective, multiple-choice questions, 100 marks, single question paper, duration 2 hours (120 minutes) .

Negative marking: ¼ (25%) of the marks for that question is deducted for each wrong answer.

If the exam is held across multiple shifts/days, scores will be normalized according to the procedure notified vide Essential Information No. 42/05/Vigyapan Anu.(Eleven)/2019 dated 22 May 2019.

Important Conditions

All reserved-category test-takers from Uttar Pradesh must mark their category in the application; test-takers claiming more than one reserved category will get only the single most beneficial relaxation.

Candidates should note that, aspirants who are not original residents of Uttar Pradesh are not picked for reservation as well as will be considered under the Unreserved category.

For women test-takers, the caste certificate issued in the name of the father's side alone will be accepted.
