The UPSC CAPF AC 2024 Reserve List has been officially made available by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on 12 June 2026 through an departmental press note. In response to a requisition placed by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) , UPSC has recommended 55 aspirants from the revised reserve list to fill the remaining posts of Assistant Commandants based on the Central Armed Police Forces (ACs) Examination, 2024. Additionally, 4 aspirants have been separately added to the merit list in compliance with the judgment dated 10 December 2025 passed by the Hon'ble High Court of Delhi in WP(C) No. 8304/2025. Background - CAPF AC 2024 Original Result and Reserve List

To understand the significance of this reserve list release, it helps to know the sequence of events since the original CAPF AC 2024 result was declared. The original result was published via a press note on 13 June 2025 , recommending 459 aspirants in the order of merit for appointment as Assistant Commandants.

In accordance with Rule 16(4) in addition to (5) of the Central Armed Police Forces (ACs) Examination, 2024 Rules, UPSC furthermore maintained a Reserve List in merit order below the last recommended candidate. This reserve list was originally drawn up with 112 test-takers (56 General, 12 EWS, 37 OBC, 3 SC, 4 ST).
