NLC India Apprentice Recruitment 2026 Overview

NLC India Limited, a Navratna Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Coal, Government of India, has issued Advertisement No. L&DC/02/2026 as well as Advertisement No. L&DC/03/2026 for apprenticeship training under the Apprentices Act, 1961. NLC India Apprentice Stipend 2026

NLC India Apprentice Selection Process 2026

The selection procedure is merit based. The method differs slightly according to the apprentice category.

Trade Apprentice Selection

Candidates should note that, Selection of Trade Apprentices will be based on the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying ITI examination.

Graduate and Technician Apprentice Selection

For Engineering Graduate, Non-Engineering Graduate as well as Technician Diploma Apprentices, selection will be based on the percentage of marks obtained in the relevant Bachelor's Degree or Diploma, calculated according to the procedure followed by the concerned university or institution.

If grades or CGPA are awarded instead of percentage marks, conversion will be carried out according to the procedure prescribed by the university or institution.

The department has confirmed that, If two or more aspirants obtain the same percentage of marks at the cut-off level, preference will be given to the older candidate based on date of birth.

Reservation for SC, ST, OBC, EWS along with PwBD aspirants will be provided in line with the Apprentices Act as well as applicable rules.

The conducting body has announced that, Test-takers claiming reservation must submit the required certificate in the prescribed Government format. OBC Non-Creamy Layer applicants must submit a valid OBC-NCL certificate in the prescribed format valid from 1 April 2026.
