General Studies (Paper 1)

General Science in addition to Environment: Basic science principles, Indian research institutions, space tech, biodiversity, ecology, nutrition, pollution, disasters.

Interested applicants should know that, Current Events: National/international importance, sports, awards (India & MP).

According to the latest notice, History of India & Independent India: Ancient to modern, freedom struggle, post-independence.

History, Culture, Polity & Economy of Madhya Pradesh: MP dynasties, tribes, festivals, arts, literature, freedom contribution, polity, economy.

Indian Polity & Economy: Constitution, governance, amendments, economy, financial institutions.

Geography: India & World (physical features, resources, climate), MP-specific (rivers, forests, minerals, agriculture, irrigation).

Information & Communication Technology: Electronics, AI, robotics, cyber security, e-governance, internet.

General Studies Paper I

History & Culture of India & MP (ancient to modern, freedom movement, MP heritage, arts, literature, festivals, architecture, world heritage sites in MP).

Candidates should note that, Geography (India & MP: physical features, climate, resources, population, disasters, water management, tribes of MP).

General Studies Paper II

Interested applicants should know that, Polity, Constitution, Governance, Social Justice (Indian Constitution, Panchayati Raj, rights, welfare schemes, international relations).

General Studies Paper III

Economy (Indian & MP: development, agriculture, industry, planning).

Science & Technology, Environment (innovations, biodiversity, climate change).

Health, security, disaster management.

General Studies Paper IV

Ethics, Integrity, Aptitude (ethical theories, attitude, emotional intelligence, public service values, case studies).

General Hindi

Grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, précis, essay elements, translation.

Essay Paper (Hindi)

Descriptive essays on current/social/economic/political topics (3 essays usually).

MPPSC Interview Process

Personality Test: 175 marks.
