KEA Land Surveyor Vacancy Details 2026

The 750 Surveyor openings are split across two separate cadres, each with its own category-wise reservation breakup as notified by KEA.

Regular Cadre (RPC) - 560 Posts

Interested applicants should know that, Within these 560 posts, horizontal reservation is additionally provided as follows: Women - 186, Rural aspirants - 140, Ex-servicemen - 56, Kannada medium students - 26, Project-displaced persons - 25, Persons with Disabilities (PWD) - 30, Transgender aspirants - 7.

Kalyana-Karnataka Local Cadre (KK) - 190 Posts

Within these 190 posts, horizontal reservation includes: Women - 61, Rural test-takers - 49, Ex-servicemen - 17, Kannada medium students - 7, PWD test-takers - 11, Transgender aspirants - 2.

KEA Land Surveyor Recruitment 2026: Eligibility Criteria

test-takers must fulfil nationality, educational along with age criteria as prescribed in the department notice. Only test-takers meeting all conditions on the prescribed date can register .

Candidate must be an Indian citizen.

Candidate must be mentally in addition to physically fit to discharge the duties of the post.

Educational Qualification for KEA Land Surveyor Post

Applicants must possess any one of the following qualifications from a recognized university or AICTE-approved institution:

A degree in Civil Engineering or Technology, or any Engineering/Technology degree, or an AMIE qualification in any Engineering/Technology stream; OR

A degree in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Instrumentation, Electronics & Communication, or Agriculture (B.Sc.); OR

As per the official update, A Diploma in any branch of Engineering/Technology from an AICTE-approved institution.

KEA Land Surveyor Age Limit 2026

Age is calculated as on the final date of online application submission. As per Government Order No. ಸಿಆಸಇ 262 ಸೇನನಿ 2025 dated 29-01-2026, a one-time relaxation of 5 years has been added to the standard upper age limit under Karnataka Civil Services (General Recruitment) Rules, 1977.

Minimum age required is 18 years. Additional age relaxation is available for government/local-body employees, ex-servicemen, National Cadet Corps full-time supervisors, Gram Samuha Parishilakar (village survey supervisor) applicants , special pay aspirants , in addition to widows, in line with the detailed relaxation clauses in the authorized announcement.

KEA Land Surveyor Salary / Pay Scale

Shortlisted applicants will be placed in the 2024 Revised State Pay Scale of ₹37,500 - ₹76,100 per month, applicable to the Surveyor post under Group-C. KEA Land Surveyor Selection Process 2026

As per the official update, Selection to the post of Surveyor is based on a competitive written examination followed by a qualifying language test in addition to a probationary departmental training period.

Aspirants are advised that, Competitive Written Examination - Offline OMR-based test consisting of Paper-I (General Knowledge) along with Paper-II (Specific Paper).

Kannada Language Test - Qualifying in nature (150 marks, minimum 50 marks required) for test-takers who have not studied Kannada as first or second language up to SSLC level or an equivalent higher-level Kannada examination. Marks from this test are not counted in the final merit.

KEA Land Surveyor Syllabus 2026 (Paper-II - Specific Paper)

Interested applicants should know that, The content of Paper-II is determined by the Recruitment Committee based on the nature of the Surveyor post, in consultation with the appointing authority. The broad syllabus weightage is as follows:

Mathematics (40%) - Arithmetic (number system, squares/cubes in addition to roots, set theory, sequence in addition to series, matrices, permutations in addition to combinations, statistics, HCF as well as LCM), Algebra (basics, linear as well as quadratic equations, factorisation, coordinate geometry), in addition to Geometry (axioms along with postulates, theorems, polygons, triangles, congruence, quadrilaterals, parallelograms, midpoint theorem, areas, cyclic quadrilaterals, surface areas along with volumes of solids, circles, similarity theorems, right-angle triangles).
