KEA KSRP Police Constable Recruitment 2026 - Eligibility

test-takers must be Indian citizens.

The department has confirmed that, For Kalyana Karnataka local cadre posts (KSRP, KSISF, IRB), aspirants must possess a valid local candidature certificate according to the Karnataka Public Employment (Reservation for Local applicants in Hyderabad-Karnataka Region) Rules, 2013, issued under Article 371(J) of the Constitution.

A woman candidate who has more than one living spouse, or a male candidate married to a woman who already has a living husband, is not shortlisted unless prior permission has been obtained from the Government.

Interested applicants should know that, aspirants must be mentally in addition to physically fit along with free from any defect that could interfere with the efficient performance of duties.

KEA KSRP Police Constable Recruitment 2026 - Educational Qualification

test-takers must have passed 2nd PUC or possess an equivalent qualification. As per Government Order No. 81 dated 27.02.2018, the following qualifications are treated as equivalent to 2nd PUC:

Class 12 examination conducted by the CBSE or ICSE boards.

Class 12 examination conducted by the education boards of other state governments.

Higher secondary education courses/certificates conducted through the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS).

A one-year vocational/ITI course after SSLC combined with a pass in one PUC subject through NIOS, provided the candidate has passed at least one language subject as well as one technical/vocational subject (as detailed in the department notice).

As per Government Order dated 06.08.2021, private study courses are recognised for equivalence only if they were approved by the concerned university at the time of admission, as well as such equivalence is verified against University Grants Commission (UGC) records.

As per Government Order dated 30.09.2021, a three-year diploma pursued after SSLC from a recognised technical education institution is treated as equivalent to PUC. applicants who completed such a diploma from institutions recognised before 2015, along with who did not study Kannada as a subject, must clear the Kannada language qualifying exam conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA).

Note: The prescribed qualification must have been obtained on or before the final date fixed for submission of applications. All applicants must additionally hold a Kannada language qualification at least up to the 12th standard/PUC level, unless exempted under the Kannada-medium study or Kannada-language-exam provisions described in the departmental circular. Qualifications obtained after this date will not be considered.

KEA KSRP Police Constable Recruitment 2026 - Age Limit

Age is calculated as on the deadline fixed for receipt of applications (10 August 2026). Ex-servicemen applicants are entitled to a relaxation equal to their actual period of military service, plus 3 additional years, in line with the rules described in the department notice. The above age limits already include a 5-year relaxation granted as per Government Order No. 262 dated 29.01.2026.

KEA KSRP Police Constable Recruitment 2026 - Salary

Chosen aspirants will be placed in the following pay scale (Level as applicable):

₹37,500 - 900 - 39,300 - 1,000 - 43,300 - 1,125 - 47,800 - 1,250 - 52,800 - 1,375 - 58,300 - 1,500 - 64,300 - 1,650 - 74,200 - 1,900 - 76,100

National Pension System (NPS) benefits register as per Government Order No. FD (SPL) 04 PET 2005, dated 31.03.2006.

KEA KSRP Police Constable Recruitment 2026 - Application Fee

Fee must be paid online only; fees once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances. The applicable fee above is charged for the first post shortlisted; an additional ₹100 is charged for each extra post/category chosen within the same application. For the Kalyana Karnataka notification, aspirants may submit a single combined application for KSRP, KSISF, along with IRB posts since all three share one pen- along with -paper test paper.

KEA KSRP Police Constable Recruitment 2026 - Selection Process

The conducting body has announced that, Written Examination: Offline OMR-based exam on General Studies as well as Mental Ability - 100 questions, 100 marks, duration 1 hour 30 minutes (90 minutes).

The official notification states that, Physical Standard Test (PST): applicants shortlisted in a 1:5 ratio per category/post, based on pen- along with -paper test marks, undergo height, chest, in addition to weight measurement.

Notified forest-dwelling/nomadic communities (in line with the authorized announcement) include Siddi, Jenu Kuruba, Kadu Kuruba, Yerava, Soliga, Kudiya, Gowdlu, Hasalaru, Malekudiya, in addition to Koraga communities residing in the forest areas of Uttara Kannada, Dakshina Kannada (Mangaluru, Udupi), Chikkamagaluru, Shivamogga, Kodagu, Chamarajanagar, along with Mysuru districts.

Physical Endurance Test (PET) Standards

Medical Test Standards

Vision: Distant vision - better eye 6/9, worse eye 6/9 or 6/12; Near vision - better eye 0/6, worse eye 0/8.

Hearing: Rinne's Test, Weber's Test, along with Vertigo tests; failing any of these tests results in disqualification.

Varicose veins as well as speech impediment are disqualifying conditions.

Chest X-ray as well as any other tests recommended by the Medical Board will be conducted.
