The conducting body has announced that, Essential: A full-time Diploma in any branch of Engineering or Technology from a recognized Indian University/Board, with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate for UR/EWS/OBC/PwD/ST aspirants , in addition to a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate for SC aspirants .

Essential: After completion of the post-engineering-diploma, 2 years' experience in the field of safety (HSE) at construction sites. Post-diploma experience must be exclusive of any Trainee/Apprenticeship period.

Desirable: Experience in a switchyard, power plant, or refinery will be given preference. Experience of building or other construction work in a supervisory capacity for 5 years, including 2 years of relevant experience at construction sites, will furthermore be given preference. test-takers should have experience conducting mock drills, audits, inspections, along with indoor/outdoor training on HSE topics, along with basic computer knowledge (MS Excel/Word/PowerPoint).
