BBMB Apprentice Eligibility Criteria

For ITI Trade Apprentices

Passed 10th class examination with minimum 40% marks from a recognized board.

Must hold a National Trade Certificate in the notified trade issued by NCVT/State Council for Vocational Training.

Must have completed the relevant ITI course.

Aadhaar Card is compulsory.

For Graduate Apprentices

Completed Graduation (or equivalent) in the concerned stream with minimum 40% marks from a recognized institute.

Interested applicants should know that, Aadhaar Card is compulsory.

For Diploma Apprentices

Interested applicants should know that, Completed Diploma with minimum 40% marks from a recognized institute.

Aadhaar Card is compulsory.

Note: There is no interview in addition to no pen- as well as -paper exam for this recruitment.

BBMB Apprentice Age Limit

Age limit is not specified in the notification. It states that age qualification will be in line with the Apprenticeship Act, 1961, in addition to its amendments from time to time.

BBMB Apprentice Selection Process

Interested applicants should know that, Meeting criteria aspirants are picked from the NAPS/NATS apprenticeship portal database. A merit list is prepared for all applicants based on percentage of marks, with category-specific weightage as below.

Preference in Selection

Candidates should note that, 25% of total available seats per trade are reserved for test-takers holding a residency certificate of the districts where the Project/Power Station/Unit is located.

Aspirants are advised that, If these reserved seats remain unfilled, they go to aspirants with a residency certificate of the concerned State.

As per the official update, Remaining seats are filled through open merit.

Project areas covered: Bhakra & Nangal Dam Project - Ropar, Bilaspur, in addition to Una.

In case two applicants have the same marks, the older candidate is preferred.

If date of birth is as well the same, the candidate who passed matriculation earlier is considered first.

BBMB Apprentice Reservation

It is informed that, Reservation will be as stated in the Apprentice Act, 1961, along with its amendments from time to time.

The conducting body has announced that, ITI Certificate along with Marksheets (must be issued by NCVT/SCVT)

How to Apply for BBMB Apprentice Recruitment 2026

ITI trade test-takers should register online through the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) portal at apprenticeshipindia.gov.in.

Graduate, Degree, in addition to Diploma test-takers should submit online through the NATS portal at nats.education.gov.in.

Applications must be submitted online between 14 July 2026 along with 10 August 2026.

No other mode of application will be accepted.

Important Instructions

Interested applicants should know that, test-takers whose results are still awaited on the final date of receipt of applications, for the qualifying examinations mentioned in the qualification criteria, will not be considered.

The department has confirmed that, Selection as well as deployment of apprentices will be subject to detailed provisions of the Apprenticeship Act, 1961, as well as its time-to-time amendments.

Results will be uploaded on the BBMB website through the Office of the System Software Manager, BBMB, Chandigarh.

aspirants who have already undergone apprenticeship training (completed or ongoing) under the Apprenticeship Act, 1961, in any other establishment are not shortlisted to submit .

Shortlisted test-takers will be registered under the NAPS/NATS Portal. applicants already registered along with trained under these schemes will not be entertained along with need not send in.

Incomplete applications, in any manner, will be rejected without assigning any reason.

The date as well as time for document verification will be decided by the office. test-takers found absent at the time of verification will have their application rejected without assigning any reason.
